3 Cebi Micromotors Switzerland is one of the world’s leaders in research, development and manufacturing of electric components for the automotive and household appliances as well as ventilation industries. Cebi offers a large set of Electronic (EC) and electric (AC) fan motors, which can be used for several applications (heat exchangers, air handling units, cooker hoods, dryers, ventilation systems for air conditioning, etc.). EC motors guarantee very high efficiency performances, due to onboard electronics, completely designed and programmed by Cebi R&D Electronic Department. The motor speed can be regulated by a potentiometer, which can control otherwise current consumption, or the constant flow rate of the fan motors, by means of PWM (pulse width modulation) signals. Customization By using a CFD simulation software, Cebi Micromotors Switzerland provides Customers’ with the possibility to design the housing of the fan motor in order to maximize the efficiency of the whole Customer application. Cebi Micromotors Switzerland can also completely customize the fan motors to satisfy Customer needs, both in terms of space available and performances, and this is possible both on AC and EC fan motors. Cebi EC Motors can be developed with constant flow rate control. The constant flow rate control is optimized for Customer applications. All the above mentioned motors have been developed by Cebi MS in a way that they are perfectly interchangeable without any additional investments by the Customer. The AC motor is a centrifugal capacitor motor fan, with external rotor, particularly suitable for cooker hoods, roof ventilators and wherever high output is required, together with reduced overall dimensions. Noiseless, easy to install and very reliable, the AC motor fan has been designed in class B or F and is available, on request, with thermal protector, and/or in multi-speed version (up to 4 different speeds). Cebi AC fan motors are ErP2020 compliant. The motor is a three phases (with single phase output) motor with permanent magnet on the rotor. The electronic control gets the speed reference from a potentiometer (DC 0÷10V external signal) or from a PWM signal, and the electronic motor gives an output signal tachometer square wave (with frequency approssimately 4 seconds).
